Governor Announces Gradual Reopening Beginning May 1

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and state officials this afternoon hosted a remote news conference to provide an update on COVID-19 efforts in New Mexico and details of a new emergency public health order … the current order expires at midnight today and the new order begins Friday and extends through May 15. The new order allows for a slow and gradual reopening. The governor said,Let’s be very clear: The reopening of New Mexico depends upon New Mexicans. Going out and congregating will worsen the spread of this disease. It will lead to more illness and death. We cannot win this fight if we let our collective guard down.’ Screenshot/LADP
