Gov. Susana Martinez Appoints Daniel Gallegos Jr. To Second Judicial District Court

SANTA FE ― Gov. Susana Martinez has appointed Daniel Gallegos Jr. of Albuquerque to the Second Judicial District Court, Criminal Division.
 
Gallegos fills the vacancy created by Judge Alan Malott, who retired in October.
 
Gallegos has served as a judge on the New Mexico Court of Appeals, the state’s second highest court, since January. Gallegos is also a U.S. Navy Reserve Lt. Commander, serving as a reserve international law attorney for Naval Forces in Europe and Africa.
 
Gallegos holds a Juris Doctorate from Notre Dame Law School in Notre Dame, Indiana.
