Staff Report

Google has announced the 2013 eCities of America. The Google eCity Awards recognize the digital capitals of each state. These cities’ businesses are using the web to find new customers, connect with existing customers and fuel their local economies. Across the country, businesses that are online expect to grow 40 percent faster.

Albuquerque topped the list for New Mexico. Albuquerque’s businesses have one of the strongest online communities in New Mexico. The state’s largest city entertains hot air balloon enthusiasts, warm-weather lovers and dessert seekers.
