Girls’ Soccer Tryouts and Summer Training Opportunities

SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Girls’ 2013 Soccer Program will hold tryouts at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12 at Sullivan Field.

Players must have a physical after April 1, 2013 (they will be good through the 2013/14 school year.) Forms may be picked up at the LAHS Athletic Office (663-2531) or they may be found at http://lahs.laschools.net. Make sure that you print all of the forms. Make sure that all the necessary information is filled in and that all signatures are received. The earlier the forms are turned in, the better.

Where to turn in completed forms:

  • LA High School Athletic Office in the box designated “Physical Forms”
  • LA Girls High School Workshop
  • Scanned in and emailed in PDF format to:  jiri@lanl.gov & jbneal5@msn.com (email to both for a double check – Subject:  Player’s name)
  • 7 a.m. meeting Aug. 12

Do not give the form to anybody at the LAHS front office. In the past, some of the forms have been lost. It is advisable to make a copy for yourself, so that if it is lost you do not have to get the doctor to sign a new set of forms.

Our biggest reason for not allowing a girl to participate in tryouts is for missing signatures. Check and re-check that all signatures are in place.

All players must have health insurance.  it can be purchased through the school.

There will be a short meeting of approximately 30 minutes. Coaches will answer any questions and get a headcount of the girls trying out. Physical forms not previously turned in must be collected at this time.  You cannot attend the tryouts without a completed physical form. All forms must be reviewed and approved by the LAHS Trainer before the athlete may try out.
