Girl Scouts Spring Art Fiesta Offers Free Family Fun

SANTA FE Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails proudly presents the 2nd annual Spring Art Fiesta from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 6, at Santa Fe Railyard Park.

This free, family-friendly event combines hands-on art experiences for children with youth performances and community displays. Attendees will be able to shop for handmade goods created by Girl Scouts in kindergarten through 12th grade, as well as create their own masterpieces to take home. This event is open to the public.

The Spring Art Fiesta will include: 

  • Performances by Dance Arts Los Alamos and the Santa Fe Youth Symphony’s Mariachi Estrella and The Quemazon Septet
  • Watercolor, clay, tie dye, card-making, and fiber arts “Creation Stations” for kids
  • Spring Entrepreneur Craft Fair with items hand-crafted by Girl Scouts that include pastel-painted flowerpots, seasonal plants and flowers, tie-dyed dog toys and bandanas, garden décor, jewelry, and handmade seed pods
  • Community displays from organizations like Little Studio on the Mesa and Art School Santa Fe
  • Free face painting
  • Information on joining a local Girl Scout Troop in Santa Fe or Los Alamos

The 2nd annual Spring Art Fiesta is sponsored by Dragon Fly Art Studio with volunteer support provided by Bank of America.
