WRPC News:

Friends and neighbors of White Rock Presbyterian Church are invited to a German dinner at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at the church, 310 Rover Blvd.

Bratwurst, red sour cabbage, hot German potato salad, green beans, bread, drink and German chocolate cake are on the menu.

The Aufverstehungskirche is the home church of Irene Davis-Dellinger who taught special education classes in Los Alamos for many years. Twenty some years ago she told the White Rock congregation of the plight of the German church when a violent storm and war damaged the roof and culminated in a badly damaged sanctuary.

The White Rock Presbyterian Church raised more than $1,000, which Davis-Dellinger delivered to the church’s pastor to help with restoration. The relationship between the White Rock Presbyterian Church and the Aufverstehungskirche exists to this day.

The community is invited to help celebrate this event.
