Geoff Rodgers has been hired to manage the Los Alamos County Airport. Previous manager Cameron Humphries moved out of town in 2020.

“I’ve known for a long time that the county has a talented and dedicated team working on behalf of the community. I’m humbled to be joining them and really look forward to the opportunity,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers is a pilot and has worked for Classic Air Medical transporting patients around the state since 2015. He also is a former county councilor and managed the transportation department for Los Alamos Public Schools for 12 years.

Rodgers has been piloting aircraft professionally and privately for three decades. He has logged more than 4,500 hours during his flying career, which began in 1984 when he graduated from the U.S. Army Flight School in Ft. Rucker, Ala. He flew Army helicopters on active duty for five years and another eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves. As a civilian, Rodgers has flown for EMS, firefighting and power line construction operations.
