Community members arrived at the Dixie Girl in 1920s attire Friday for the swankiest event of the season, the Speakeasy Soiree fundraiser benefitting the United Way of Northern New Mexico.
Patrons posed in front of a vintage car for the 1920s themed night and their monetary contributions will go to United Way, which funds a variety of community organizations that help those in need.
The Speakeasy Soiree was sponsored by Los Alamos National Bank and 100 percent of the profits go directly to supporting those United Way of Northern New Mexico effort in the local communities.
The event featured food, music, a live and silent auction, medicinal elixirs, and even games of chance.
Anyone who had a photo taken with the vintage car friday night is reminded to get their order in so the final numbers raised from the event for United Way can be tallied.
