I am happy to report we will revert back to displaying result tapes in the Boards and Commissions Room at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building as they come in from the polling locations.

I wasn’t sure if this was going to be a possibility, as we are extremely short staffed in the office, but we are going to do our best to make it happen!

While it is hard to gauge, I anticipate the first set of results to be posted approximately at 7:30 p.m. or so. Local media outlets also will be onsite to interview candidates throughout the evening.

We also will email the candidates and local party chairs these results, as they become available. We will send this communication to the email addresses on file with our office. The document will contain a running total of the sites being reported, which will be noted at the top of the document. We anticipate having the ability to also send a separate report, specific to each Vote Center.

Also, as required by law, results tapes also will be posted outside each Vote Center for review.

We will simultaneously post the unofficial results to our website: www.losalamosnm.us/clerk. Once results have been emailed and posted to the website, we will post this information to our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. 

Statewide results will be accessible as well on the New Mexico Secretary of State Election Results portal at: https://electionresults.sos.state.nm.us/Default.aspx?

Please note that a Special Election Board will convene to hand tally any write-in votes and complete any other election related duties as prescribed by law 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the Municipal Building.
