Gas Outage In Quemazon

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities experienced a low-pressure natural gas condition in Quemazon just before noon today.

As a result some homes may have lost natural gas. At this time, the DPU staff is going door-to-door in Quemazon to check on the individual gas services and relight gas pilots if necessary.

If residents are not home, the DPU crews are shutting natural gas and water off for safety reasons and leaving a door hanger.

DPU is requesting that Quemazon customers who have not already communicated with DPU crews, call the DPU office at 505.662.8333 and leave a name, phone number and a time frame when someone will be home for crews to come by to restore gas and water.

DPU’s 311 customer care center staff will stay in the office until 9 p.m. to take phone calls. After 9 p.m., call police dispatch at 505.662.8222. Provide your name, address, phone number and time when you will be available for crews to come by.
