Game & Fish Offers Special Hunter Education Camps

The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish is providing hands-on training in which participants earn a hunter education certification.
 
Camp Thunderbird near Mimbres
 
The camp is open to youths ages 10 and over who are accompanied by an adult. It will be conducted the weekend of April 26-28, at the beautiful Camp Thunderbird in the Gila National Forest. Lodging and meals are free and all equipment is provided.
 
Registration is open for this camp opportunity and will close April 12 or when filled.
 
Participants must complete and return the registration form available at www.wildlife.state.nm.us/education/hunter-education/, to be eligible. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Ladies Hunter Education Camp at Camp Gorham
 
The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and the New Mexico Mule Deer Foundation ladies program Discover the Outdoor and Encourage Sportsmanship (D.O.E.S.) is hosting a special ladies hunter education camp where ladies can receive hands-on training and earn their hunter education certification. Lodging and meals are free and all equipment is provided. Registration is currently open for this camp.
 
Participants must complete and return the registration form available at www.wildlife.state.nm.us/education/hunter-education/, to be eligible. Slots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
