Fuller Lodge Art Show: ‘Show Some Class’

ART CENTER News:

Celebrate Adult Learners – This display of student work includes work from any students who have participated in art classes at Fuller Lodge Art Center over the past year or work from individuals in art groups that meet at the Art Center or Village Arts. The public is invited to meet the artists at a reception from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26.

Call for Artists: We Who Are Clay – Working in clay is a tradition in many cultures, and New Mexico has had a long standing relationship with the medium. Join the Art Center in an effort to interpret and reinterpret clay as an artistic and utilitarian medium. Help explore traditions, create new meanings and push clay to its limits. We are working in collaboration with the Los Alamos Historical Society and the Empty Bowl Project to celebrate clay through the centuries and show what it can mean to us in our spring “Gone to Pot” programming effort.

The application deadline for this show is Feb. 8.

21 and Under
We encourage young artists to apply for our shows. They will be juried along with all the other artists. However, jurors are well aware that the Art Center philosophy is to show emerging artists andessional artists side by side. The first five young artists (21 or under) to enter any show will have the initial $15 jury fee waived. The first entry is free; each piece after that would be $5.
