Full Corn Moon Rises Over Los Alamos

September’s full Corn Moon rises over Los Alamos at around 8 p.m. Tuesday. It gets its name because this is the time of year when crops are gathered at the end of the summer season. At this time, the moon appears particularly bright and rises early, letting farmers continue harvesting into the night. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
