Free Seminar on ‘The Art of Branding a Community’ March 7

The Art of Branding a Community

FREE Group webinar. “Branding” is the keyword of the decade, but what does it really mean?

Most people don’t understand what a brand really is or how to actually build one. This presentation demystifies and explains the process of branding for cities, downtowns and marketing professionals.

Through case histories, video clips, dozens of photos and humorous stories, attendees will learn what it takes to create a successful brand, how to make it obvious, and how that translates to cash.

Los Alamos Business Assistance Services, a program of Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation (LACDC), is offering the free seminar from 9:45-11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7 at the Chamber of Commerce Conference Room, 109 Central Park Square.

Pre-registration is requested at or by calling Melanie at 661-4807.

Presenter Roger Brooks, CEO of Destination Development International, is one of North America’s most sought after experts in the creation of great destinations.

He and his team have worked with nearly 1,000 communities, successfully guiding them in their community branding, revitalization and marketing efforts.

Brooks is well-known for energizing communities into action - providing ideas they can implement today to make a difference tomorrow.

He was involved in the local community assessment process initiated by the Los Alamos Chamber two years ago.

Los Alamos Business Assistance Services hopes to raise awareness of the branding principles as the community approaches the upcoming branding process being sponsored by Los Alamos County.

The presentation also will be useful for businesses and organizations wanting to understand the topic of branding.
