Fort Selden Historic Site: ‘Ghosts Of The Past’ Tours Oct. 8

Join Fort Selden Historic Site for their “Ghosts of the Past” moonlit tours, a new spin on their annual fall event from 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.

This year’s theme is “Death in New Mexico.” Tours will be offered every 10 minutes starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5, and you can purchase them ahead of time here.

There also will be music, food and fun ahead of the tours — and a 30-minute talk at 4:30 p.m. on Día de los Muertos, Halloween, and New Mexico.

Be sure to dress warmly!

“Ghosts of the Past”, is a series of timed moonlit tours through Fort Selden Historic Site, exploring how people of the past lived and faced death. Visitors might meet a soldier from Pershing’s expedition, who will make an appearance, as well as a curandera, and learn about tuberculosis, a mine disaster, and more!
