Follow Wonders On Wheels Mobile Museum To Holiday Events Around State

This December, the Wonders on Wheels Mobile Museum, a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs, is touring the exhibit, “Eight Sites, One History: Explore the Past at New Mexico Historic Sites” to a variety of holiday events throughout northern New Mexico.

Visitors can have fun this holiday season by exploring the exhibit “Eight Sites, One History,” sponsored by New Mexico Historic Sites, at community festivities around the state. The exhibit highlights the distinctive stories revealed at each of the state’s eight historic sites. Hands-on learning activities and take-home projects are offered by the WoW team.

Mobile Museum Schedule:

  • 10 a.m.–4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6: Rancho de las Golondrinas Holiday Sale, Santa Fe, NM
  • 5–7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12: Lights of Gisewa, Jemez Springs, NM
  • 11 a.m.–3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15: Historic Santa Fe Foundation Family Day, Santa Fe, NM
  • 12–6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 20: Winter of Enchantment at Big Jim Farms, Albuquerque, NM

Wonders on Wheels serves all 33 counties in New Mexico annually, bringing arts, culture, history, and science exhibits and curriculum-based programming to fairs, festivals, public libraries, and schools. The goal is to make learning fun and accessible to everyone throughout the state.
