COMMUNITY News:

A traveling troupe of pink flamingos were sighted in front of Ian and Amy Albright’s home at 2995 Arizona. They were there to acknowledge a terrific exterior home renovation that the Albrights finished this summer.

The house has been re-sided by Chaparral Materials in a handsome, two-tone sage green HardiePlank. The house color is enhanced by new black shutters and crisp white trim.

The flamingos are part of an impromptu home recognition campaign being conducted by Paula Barclay, realtor with RE/MAX of Los Alamos.

“Some people are working really hard to make their homes and yards beautiful,” Barclay said. “This is just a lighthearted way to recognize these efforts.”

If you know someone who has done work on their home’s exterior or yard, Barclay encourages them to get in touch with her (paulabarclay@remax.net).

“Nominate your friend, neighbor or yourself,” she said. “Let’s make this a fun way to say thank you to them for making our town nicer!”
