Five Counties Receive Workers’ Compensation Safety Award

NMC News:

SANTA FE — New Mexico Counties presented Harding, Hidalgo, Rio Arriba, Lea, and Doña Ana Counties with a Workers’ Compensation Safety Award during the 2024 NMC Legislative Conference Jan. 18, 2024.

These counties achieved a positive claim trend, and the lowest frequency of workers’ compensation claims for 2023. The awards, based on the number of employees, are divided into five divisions. Each winning county received a $7,000 contribution refund. 

Division 1: Harding County – Has received numerous safety awards;
Union County – Honorable Mention.

Division 2: Hidalgo County – Has received numerous safety awards;
Torrance County – Honorable Mention. 

Division 3: Rio Arriba County – Has received numerous safety awards;
McKinley County – Honorable mention. 

Division 4: Lea County – Has received numerous safety awards;
Taos County – Honorable Mention. 

Division 5: Doña Ana County – Has received numerous safety awards;
Bernalillo County – Honorable Mention.
