Los Alamos County Public Works and Community Services departments invite residents to the first of three public meetings to discuss the initial conceptual phase of shade structure options for the Los Alamos Ice Rink.

This in-person meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 in the Boards and Commissions Room at the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave.

This meeting will be part of the business agenda of the Parks and Recreation Board Meeting.

At this meeting, the Public Works and Community Services staff will introduce the project’s planning and public outreach process, present a summary of previous efforts, and share the schedule for two follow-up public meetings.

Staff will also explain how individuals can provide feedback through an online survey available for 14 days, Jan. 9-23. The objective is to collect community input on various aspects of potential shade structures to help inform the decision-making process.
