Los Alamos Creative District’s Final Fourth Friday of 2015 will happen in downtown Los Alamos this Friday, Oct. 23. Fourth Friday will begin again in January 2016.

Fourth Fridays is a monthly event that offers extended hours or special programming at Bradbury Science Museum, Los Alamos Historical Society, Fuller Lodge Art Center, The Nature Center and Mesa Public Library. Fourth Fridays also promotes special offerings from participating local businesses. This month Fourth Friday special events and include:

The Bradbury Science Museum  will be open late until 6 p.m. for Fourth Friday, offering extended access to exhibits. The museum will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and at 1350 Central Ave..

The Nature Center presents Fourth Friday Fractals! Journey into the never-ending world of fractals in an amazing tour of science, math and art. Fantastic Fractals is the spectacular, award-winning full dome planetarium show that takes viewers on a tour of the fractals in nature and zooms through infinitely complex mathematical fractals.

Featuring original music, the show is both educational and highly entertaining, and suitable for audiences 3 and up. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Nature Center for $10 for Adults and $8 for children. Seating is limited. Please call or stop by the Nature Center before the show to reserve your seat. Located at 2600 Canyon Road, Fractals will run 7-7:45 p.m.

The Fuller Lodge Art Center (FLAC) hosts their first adult coloring party from 4-6 p.m. in the main gallery. Bring your own coloring books and implements or use theirs. A variety of adult coloring books will also be available for purchase at the Art Center from Village Arts, including several by local artist Sasha Scully. 

For the more adventurous, they also putting together a Los Alamos Community Coloring Book, so put on your brainstorming hat and help recreate Los Alamos as coloring pages! FLAC is located at 2132 Central Avenue.

The Los Alamos Historical Society is moving to its new temporary home at the Teen Center at Ashley Pond while the existing building undergoes a year–long renovation. The Historical Museum is now located at the Teen Center by Ashley Pond on 20th Street and will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by and see the new location.

Join in the fun at Bathtub Row Brewery Co-op. The brewery is located at 163 Central Park Square and will be open until 11 p.m. Friday.

UnQuarked is featuring a Chocolate and Wine Pairing with Vivac Winery! Get your tickets early! Teacher Appreciation Happy Hour is from 4-6 p.m. They are located at 145 Central Park Square.
