Field Office Gives OK For LANL Parking Structure

The Department of Energy (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administration’s Los Alamos Field Office has issued a National Environmental Policy Act categorical exclusion determination (CX) for the proposal to construct, use, and maintain a multi-level parking structure (approximately 200,000 square feet) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) within the Technical Area 50 (TA-50) existing surface parking lot.
 
The purpose of the project is to provide LANL with additional and upgraded parking infrastructure to reduce a chronic parking shortage along the Pajarito Corridor.
 
The CX is issued pursuant to Title 10 Part 1021 of DOE NEPA Implementing Procedures. The CX can be accessed online at https://www.energy.gov/nepa/categorical-exclusion-determinations-new-mexico subject heading CX-270459: Construction and Operation of TA-50 Parking Structure.
