Energy Manager Monica Witt of Utilities & Institutional Facilities at Los Alamos National Laboratory will present a talk on “Federal Sustainability Requirements and LANL” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5 in the upstairs meeting rooms at Mesa Public Library.
Witt has worked at LANL for 10 years in the environmental and energy management fields. She has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies.
As the Energy Manager of Utilities & Institutional Facilities, she is responsible for implementing projects to reduce energy and water to meet the Laboratory’s sustainability goals.
In her Wednesday night presentation, Witt will discuss federal sustainability requirements and what LANL is working on to meet important energy, water and greenhouse gas reduction goals.
Witt is a former member of the Sustainability Board of Los Alamos County and is expected to provide valuable insight into the sustainability activity at the Laboratory.
