FBI: Person Of Interest Sought In Death Of Acoma Pueblo Woman

FBI News:

The FBI is seeking a person of interest who may have information regarding the death of a woman whose body was found on Acoma Pueblo in November 2014.

Nathan Chavez, 32, is 5’8” tall, weighs approximately 165 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen Nov. 23, 2014, in the Laguna Pueblo area attempting to hitch a ride to Albuquerque.

Chavez is known to frequent Albuquerque homeless shelters around the area of Central Avenue and Wyoming Boulevard. He also is known to stay around the area of Central Avenue and Yale Boulevard, near the University of New Mexico. Chavez has connections to Tolleson, Ariz.; Cortez, Colo.; and Dallas, Texas.

The body of an adult female was discovered Nov. 28, 2014, in a residence on Acoma Pueblo. The death is considered suspicious, although details are not being released at this time. The FBI and the Pueblo of Acoma Police Department are investigating.
