FBI News:

The FBI has reaffirmed its commitment to protect the Jewish community in New Mexico from any potential threats after the Texas synagogue attack.

Special Agent in Charge  of the Albuquerque FBI Division joined Rabbi Dr. Rob Lennick, CEO of the Jewish Federation of New Mexico, in urging the public to report any threats or suspicious activity.

Rabbi Dr. Rob Lennick

“The Albuquerque FBI Division has a very close and enduring relationship with the Jewish community in New Mexico,” SAC Bujanda said. “I have reached out to several Jewish leaders to assure them we will never lose sight of the threat extremists pose to the Jewish community and to other religious, racial, and ethnic groups.  We continue to work with the Jewish Federation of New Mexico, the Anti-Defamation League, and others to protect members of the Jewish community from all potential threats.”

“First, we appreciate the support and outreach to our community in the wake of the events in Texas,” Rabbi Lennick said. “Most importantly, we encourage all people of all faiths and all citizens across New Mexico to be our partners in standing up to and preventing hate crime, antisemitism and racism in all forms. We encourage members of the Jewish community and everyone, everywhere to please contact the FBI and local law enforcement with any tips, observations, or concerns about threats or suspicious activity. Only together in partnership can we keep our communities safe.”

Anyone who is aware of threats or other suspicious activity should contact the FBI at 1.800.CALL.FBI or go to tips.fbi.gov.
