FBI: Albq. Man Wanted For Bank Robbery Arrested

An Albuquerque man wanted for a bank robbery and an attempted bank robbery has been arrested by the Albuquerque Police Department.
 
Jason Cruz Cordova, 30, was wanted on a federal arrest warrant for the Aug. 16, 2018, robbery of First Convenience Bank, 901 Unser Boulevard SE., Rio Rancho, and the Aug. 20, 2018, attempted robbery of Bank of the West, 780 Juan Tabo Boulevard NE., Albuquerque.
 
Albuquerque Police arrested Cordova Thursday. FBI special agents took custody of Cordova shortly afterward. He is expected to have an initial appearance Friday in U.S. District Court in Albuquerque.
 
No further information will be released until after Cordova’s court appearance.
 
The FBI was assisted by the Albuquerque Police Department, New Mexico Corrections Department Probation and Parole Division and Rio Rancho Police Department.
 
The public is reminded that all defendants are considered innocent unless convicted in a court of law.
