Family Strengths Network (FSN) is hosting a free remote Beginning English class for those persons that may have little to no English experience and are interested in improving their abilities.
The class is 7-8 p.m. each Thursday beginning June 25 via Zoom. Attendees need to register at least once to receive a link each week. Note that it is not necessary to attend each week.
Beginners English is open to all individuals and covers a range of beginner topics (ex: Introducing yourself, asking for help, going to the grocery store, etc.). The class also features open sessions with different weekly topics.
Instructor Justin Lemke has had enormous opportunities to teach English at the volunteer level. He recently returned from a two-year service mission in Houston, Texas where he became fluent in Mandarin Chinese. During that time, he taught English classes 2-3 times a week to class sizes ranging from 2-15, and provided other English services to individuals (translating, editing documents, etc.). Students who attended these classes were from a variety of cultures and nationalities.
