UNM-LA News:

Even though the fall semester began bright and early Monday morning at the University of New Mexico-Los Alamos (UNM-LA), prospective students can still register for classes.

“We still have space available in a variety of classes, in both face-to-face and online formats,” Interim Executive Director Cindy Rooney said. “Options such as Astronomy, Elementary Greek, Introduction to Creative Writing, Customer Service, Rock Music Appreciation, Painting, or Pilates represent the diversity of choices available at UNM-LA.”

UNM-LA is known for its small class size, which is typically fewer than 25 students, and a highly qualified faculty, the majority of which, are working professionals in the fields they teach. Tuition is also some of the most affordable in the state.

Students have 20 associate degree program choices as well as six certificate programs. Credits earned at UNM-LA transfer within UNM and to other four-year programs.

Those wishing to enroll can do so until Friday, Aug. 28, either online or on the UNM-LA campus. We encourage students to register as soon as possible to avoid missing valuable class time. For questions or more information about enrollment, contact UNM-LA Student Services at 505.662.0332, or visit losalamos.unm.edu.
