PEEC News:
Explore what climate change is, what it will do to humans and why people should care about it next week at the Los Alamos Nature Center.
Join local expert Chick Keller for an overview of climate change at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29. This talk is free to attend and registration is not required.
Although climate change has been occurring for decades, recent extreme weather events and fires have made it ever more apparent. At this talk, Keller will explore how scientists know the climate is warming and that humans are causing it, what the latest science says we can expect to see from climate change and what we can do about climate change.
Keller also will discuss whether he thinks individual changes really make a difference or if climate change must be addressed on the governmental level.
The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) operates the Los Alamos Nature Center. For more information about this talk and other PEEC programs, visit www.peecnature.org, email programs@peecnature.org or call 505.662.0460.
