“Experts in Living Well” is this year’s slogan for National Senior Center Month, to be celebrated 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 at the White Rock Senior Center (WRSC), 137 Longview Dr. in White Rock.
WRSC’s celebration takes the form of a Senior Services Fair, with representatives from companies such as Bee Hive Homes, Comfort Keepers, Decades Case Management, Haven Behavioral Senior Care, Home Instead, Kingston Residence Center and Los Alamos Visiting Nurses.
Non-Profit Organizations with a focus on seniors, such as Aspen Ridge and Sombrillo, RSVP, The Day Out Program at the Betty Ehart Senior Center, Senior Olympics and the White Rock Public Library will also have fun and informational booths for viewing.
WRSC members will be demonstrating their favorite dance and exercise activities in the adjacent Los Alamos County Activity Building. Demonstrations include low impact aerobics, Zumba Gold, line and tap dancing and massage. A schedule of times will be available.
The public is welcome to attend and learn more about services for seniors in Los Alamos County.
