ENMU Named Safest University In New Mexico For 2025

Portales – Niche.com, which connects colleges and schools with students and families online, has ranked Eastern New Mexico University as the safest university in New Mexico for 2025.

“I believe this recognition of safety is a reflection of the family-oriented spirit of ENMU,” ENMU Chancellor  James Johnston said. “We are focused on student success and, by extension, on the safety of our students and our employees. We truly take care of each other.”

The 2025 Safest College Campuses ranking is based on key statistics and student reviews using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Niche.com reports that top-ranked colleges offer a safe and healthy environment with little or no campus crime, drugs or alcohol usage.
