Celebrate Earth Day outdoors with a guided hike from a Jemez Historic Site ranger 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, April 19.

A ranger at Jemez Historic Site will lead a free guided 1.5-mile hike up Oak Canyon (a.k.a. Church Canyon) in honor of Earth Day. This is a moderate hike over rough terrain. Hikers should bring water, sturdy shoes, sunscreen and a sack lunch. Rangers will identify the species of flora and fauna encountered.

Enjoy the outdoors while learning about the plants and animals that call the Jemez landscape home.
