Early Morning Crash Results In Death Of Los Alamos Man

LAPD News:

The Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD) would like to inform the public of a fatal crash that occurred early this morning near the intersection of N.M. 502 and Camino Entranda.

This morning, Sept. 6, 2024, at about 5:16 a.m., LAPD responded to a 911 call reporting a two-vehicle accident on N.M. 502 near the intersection of Camino Entrada. Officers arrived on scene a few minutes after the call was received. The Los Alamos Fire Department (LAFD) was also notified and on scene within minutes of notification and began treating three patients involved in the crash.

Two patients were taken to the Los Alamos Medical Center. A 22-year-old female was treated for minor injuries. Sadly, a 69-year-old male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the Los Alamos Medical Center.

The accident and cause are still under investigation by LAPD’s crash team.

The Main Hill Road has re-opened for normal travel into the townsite.
