Kathy Young recently moved to Los Alamos and launched Dog’s Delight Mobile Grooming.

She came from a small town in California where she operated a similar mobile grooming business for many years. This summer, after her youngest daughter left to attend college at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, she picked up her grooming business and moved to Los Alamos to be near family, which includes her 2-year-old granddaughter.

“Since my business is mobile, I’m able to help dogs that are nervous about leaving home, have problems riding in cars, or just need a little more time and attention,” Young said. “Mobile grooming is also very convenient for dog owners. Some owners don’t even need to be home. All I need is a place to park, an electrical outlet to plug my trailer into and I’m good to go.”

Young is fully insured and a member of the National Dog Groomers Association and a Certified Pet Care Technician and Groomer, she said. She has weekday appointments available in Los Alamos and White Rock.
