The Department of Energy has notified Los Alamos National Laboratory Director Charlie McMillan that its Office of Enforcement will investigate the facts and circumstances associated with an incident that occurred Sept. 13 at LANL.
The incident, described as a “near miss to a fatality”, involved a Lab worker who entered a room containing an oxygen deficient atmosphere.
Los Alamos National Security (LANS) reported this event Sept. 18 to DOE.
