Everything’s coming up pink at Del Norte Credit Union this month to promote breast cancer awareness.

Employees at all six Del Norte locations are wearing pink each Friday, whether it be the credit union’s custom pink T’s or other pink attire. The offices are decked in pink decorations as well.

In addition to raising awareness, Del Norte is collecting funds for breast cancer research. Those who donate will be celebrated on an honor wall in each credit union, Mortgage Loan Officer Mandi George said. Cards can be personalized to honor a survivor or victim of breast cancer. Employees also participated in a walk in Santa Fe to promote awareness.

“Del Norte supports the community and it supports us back,” George said.

Del Norte started in Los Alamos as a laboratory credit union and has been in Los Alamos for 65 years, George said. DNCU has three branches in Santa Fe, a branch in Espanola, and one in White Rock in addition to the Los Alamos branch.
