Atomic City Children’s Theater II proudly presents their production of Disney’s 101 DALMATIONS KIDS, a musical adaptation from the familiar animated tale of kidnapping villains and courageous puppies.
Artistically-inclined pet owners Robert and Anita live happily in London with Dalmatian parents Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat! Join all the dogs of London as they daringly rescue the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen, Horace and Jasper.
The ACCT II cast is composed of 45 3rd and 4th grade students from all five elementary schools in Los Alamos and White Rock. Co-Directors, Cindy Richard and Gwen Wiens, have been pleased with the level of talent and enthusiasm shown by their young cast.
“From the beginning of our theatrical journey together, we have been overwhelmed with the creative ability and comedic timing the kids bring to their character roles,” Wiens said. “During the nine weeks we have been in rehearsal for the show, we have all grown personally and collectively as an ensemble.”
The cast and directors would like to invite everyone to experience the charm and delight of Disney’s 101 DALMATIONS KIDS with its high-spirited score and lovable characters. There will be two productions this weekend only – Friday, March 14, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 15, at 2 p.m., in the Pinon Elementary gym. The show runs about 35 minutes. As always, Atomic City Children’s Theater shows are free to the public.
