Discovery Of Suspicious Items Dispatches Los Alamos Bomb Squad To White Rock Residence

LAPD News:

Los Alamos Police Officers were dispatched at 11:15 a.m., Wednesday to conduct a welfare check on a homeowner at 75 Hacienda in White Rock.

Upon investigation, officers located the homeowner and dispatched LAFD for a medical episode. While at the scene, officers located suspicious items and notified the LAPD Bomb Squad to assist. Upon their arrival and examination, a District Court Search Warrant was obtained and executed with the assistance of the FBI and ATF.

This case is ACTIVE and the investigation in ongoing.

The Los Alamos Police Department is one of six New Mexico police departments maintaining a fully staffed bomb squad certified by the FBI. Five certified bomb technicians comprise the local squad.
