The next monthly meeting of the Discoveries Action Team is Thursday, June 21 in the Pajarito Room of Fuller Lodge. Participants will meet 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and continue discussing ideas suggested by the Place-Making and Place-Marketing subgroups.
Free lunch will be served. The meeting will be facilitated by the Idea Group, the consultant for implementation of the Brand Action Plan.
The Discoveries Action Team is a volunteer group open to all County residents, businesses and organizations. Members are “champions” for the brand which incorporates the mindset that Los Alamos is a place that cultivates curiosity and creates aha moments and is represented by the brandline “where discoveries are made.” They share a desire to improve Los Alamos amenities and offerings, and communicate these benefits to future residents, businesses and visitors. New members are welcome to attend and learn more at the June meeting. Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP (for lunch-planning purposes) no later than June 19 by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The branding initiative is designed to strengthen the reputation of Los Alamos and provide a place for community members to collaborate to make Los Alamos a wonderful place to live, work, play and stay. Discoveries Action Team goals include:
- Enhance the Los Alamos “Discoveries” experience;
- Promote what makes Los Alamos unique;
- Create network of community ambassadors; and
- Market together with unified voice and shared message.
