NMDOT News:
SANTA FE — Rio Metro Regional Transit and Herzog Transit Services will be cleaning the salt residue from the railroad ballast beneath the crossing panels at the intersection of Cerrillos Road and St. Francis Drive beginning Friday Oct. 20. This work is necessary to prevent the false activations of the crossing equipment at the intersection.
Work will begin conducted through the night. They will start shortly after the last Rail Runner departure at 9 p.m. and work should be completed around 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 to minimize impact.
During this time, only the two right turn lanes from St. Francis Drive onto Cerrillos Road will be available for traffic. The intersection will be closed to motorists and detours will be in place to route traffic around the work zone.
The various signed detours are as described below:
- Cerrillos Road East Bound (EB) to Cerrillos Road – Right onto Cordova, left onto St. Francis, and right onto Cerrillos;
- Cerrillos Road EB to St. Francis Drive North Bound (NB) – Right onto Cordova, left onto St. Francis, right onto Cerrillos, left onto Guadelupe, left onto Paseo de Peralta, and right onto St. Francis;
- Cerrillos Road EB to St. Francis Drive South Bound (SB) – Right onto Cordova, right onto St. Francis;
- Cerrillos Road West Bound (WB) to Cerrillos Road – Right onto Paseo de Peralta (or right onto Guadalupe and left onto Paseo de Peralta), left onto St. Francis, and right onto Cerrillos;
- Cerrillos Road WB to St. Francis Drive SB – Right onto Paseo de Peralta (or right onto Guadalupe and left onto Paseo de Peralta), left onto St. Francis, right onto Cerrillos, left onto Cordova, and right onto St. Francis;
- Cerrillos Road WB to St. Francis Drive North Bound (NB) – Right onto Paseo de Peralta (or right onto Guadalupe and left onto Paseo de Peralta), right onto St. Francis;
- St. Francis Drive NB to St. Francis Drive – Right onto Cerrillos, left onto Guadalupe, left onto Paseo de Peralta, and right onto St. Francis;
- St. Francis Drive NB to Cerrillos Road EB – No detour;
- St. Francis Drive SB to St. Francis Drive – Right onto Cerrillos, left onto Cordova, and right onto St. Francis; and
- St. Francis Drive SB to Cerrillos Road WB – No detour.
