SANTA FE — Del Norte LOV (Living Our Vision) Foundation, a nonprofit organization and extension of Del Norte Credit Union, announces the opening of the 2024 Scholarship Program aimed at awarding $22,000 to local graduating seniors or equivalent.
The Del Norte LOV Foundation has supported 30 seniors since starting their scholarship program in 2021. For the third year in a row, the Del Norte LOV Foundation is increasing the scholarship total available to the community.
“The mission of the Del Norte LOV Foundation is to improve lives of youth and families in New Mexico, the scholarship program is a true testament to our mission,” said Del Norte LOV Foundation Director Connie Tooker Nuñez. “We hope to inspire younger generations to reach their full potential that aspire for higher education. Eligible New Mexican high school, equivalent GED, and homeschool senior students can apply for this significant opportunity to support their first semester of higher education in the fall.”
The 2024 program offers a total of $22,000 in scholarship awards, including eight awards at $1,000 each with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA) or its equivalent and three awards at $3,000 with a minimum 3.5 GPA or its equivalent, and new this year is one $5,000 with a minimum 4.0 GPA or equivalent.
