Del Norte LOV Foundation Announces Back-To-School Carnival At Valdez Park In Española Saturday Aug. 13

SANTA FE — The Del Norte LOV (Living Our Vision) Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization associated with Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU), has announced details of its Back-To-School Carnival 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Valdez Park in Española.

Featuring school supplies, face painting, bouncy houses, cotton candy, popcorn, games and more, the carnival underscores Del Norte LOV Foundation’s ongoing commitment to its core mission of improving the lives of youth and families in New Mexico through scholarships, community grants, financial literacy, sponsorships, and community engagement.

“Bringing local families together again after the last few years is a privilege for us,” explained Connie Tooker Nuñez, Del Norte LOV Foundation Director. “It’s going to be a fantastic Saturday afternoon in the park for kids and families who are looking forward to the new school year and all of its possibilities. We’d also like to give a heartfelt thanks to sponsors KDCE Radio, Donna Casados State Farm Agency, Brandy Family Foundation, Sam’s Club, and Tumbleweeds Magazine.”

Entrance ticket prices are $5 for adults and $2 for children 17 years old and younger (includes 2 game tickets each.) Additional game tickets are available for $1 each or 15 tickets for $10. Food tickets are $1 each. Tickets may be purchased at the event or pre-ordered at delnortelovfoundation.org.

All funds from the Back-To-School Carnival will benefit the Del Norte LOV Foundation. Sponsorship and Volunteer Opportunities are available.
