SANTA FE—Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU), northern New Mexico’s hometown financial cooperative, is seeking nominations of DNCU members* from fellow members to be included in a random drawing for a free holiday meal. The Members Helping Members program will allow 10 lucky DNCU family members to be the recipients of a precooked holiday meal for six from Smith’s Dec. 24.
“We understand that many of our members are experiencing tough financial times this holiday season. The idea that we’re all in this together is a main tenet of being a financial cooperative, and, in this small way, we can make a difference in our community of membership,” DNCU President/CEO Chuck Valenti said.
Applications for referrals are due by Dec. 13 and are available at all six DNCU branches in northern New Mexico. DNCU members also can call in referral information to DNCU’s Member Service Center at 877.818.DNCU. Winners will be notified Dec. 17 and arrangements will be made for winners to pick up the dinners Dec. 24.
In this season of giving, helping families celebrate with a warm and delicious meal—without worrying about the cost—is just one way DNCU supports its members.
*Any DNCU member in good standing can be nominated for the drawing; there are no related financial qualifications.
