SANTA FE – As part of its mission of improving the lives of youth and families across New Mexico, Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU) is launching its newly expanded DNCU LOV Initiatives Scholarship Program.
This year, DNCU is offering four scholarship opportunities, totaling $47,000, to help students unlock their full potential.
Scholarships Available:
- General Scholarship Fund administered by Scholarship America®
- Technical Trade Schools Scholarship at Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) and Central New Mexico College (CNM)
- Venessa Valerio Nursing Scholarship at NNMC
The expanded LOV Initiatives Scholarship Program is one of the many ways DNCU is demonstrating its commitment to uplifting New Mexico. DNCU LOV Initiatives Director Connie Tooker Nuñez emphasized the importance of investing in the well-being of youth and families.
“At Del Norte Credit Union, we believe that improving lives starts with investing in the futures of the next generation. Young students across our state are filled with so much talent and potential, and they are the ones who will help shape brighter futures for their communities,” Tooker Nuñez said. “We are thrilled to come alongside them as they pursue their goals in higher education.”
DNCU President/CEO John Molenda also expressed the importance of supporting youth in their educational pursuits.
“Helping local youth across our state is essential to our mission of improving lives,” Molenda said. “Whether it’s raising $100,000 in raffle ticket sales for the Española YMCA Teen Center or providing scholarship opportunities via DNCU LOV Initiatives, we will always be committed to supporting young students and helping them realize their full potential. We hope these scholarships help pave the way for students to forge their own paths and achieve their educational goals.”
Eligible students can apply for these scholarship opportunities until 2 p.m. MT, March 26, at dncu.com/community-engagement/scholarships. Recipients will be announced later this Spring.
