OPERA News: For those disappointed that the Metropolitan Opera canceled its HD broadcast of the opera by John Adams, a group of opera lovers is sponsoring a showing of a studio version film of the opera released in 1993.
The composer conducts the London Symphony Orchestra. The film has clips interspersed, and audience discretion is advised. This showing will be at the same date as the originally scheduled Met broadcast at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 15. This two hour film will be introduced by Mary Kime and followed by questions and discussion.
