This poem written by Los Alamos High School student Andy McBride (Los Alamos Daily Post student reporter) is dedicated to his former classmate Raymon Maldonado who recently lost his life.

Dear home,

the reason I wrote this poem

is to see the tone

of the roaming son

but the tone of this poem

to make you come home when home ain’t home

you are there watching

waiting

waiting for the phone

waiting for the poem to come home

now do you understand the tone of the poem

of their sad family and their sad home

or what about their sad son

who went to roam and never came home

now dear poem

please come home
