LAMC News:
The date of the Women’s Healthy Life Celebration Health Fair at Los Alamos Medical Center originally scheduled for Saturday has been changed. The new date for the Fair is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 25. The date change was made to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to accommodate a number of local physicians who are participating in the event, a LAMC spokesperson said.
The free Women’s Health Fair is designed to improve access to important preventive health care services for women in the community and to share new advanced treatment options for some of the most common health conditions for women, according to LAMC.
The women’s health fair will feature free health screenings and interactive physician lectures on gynecological and urological issues, as well as free health screenings including blood pressure, podiatry, cholesterol, glucose. It will also feature educational programs presented by physicians from Los Alamos Medical Center and the local area. Flu shots will also be available.
