Daily Postcard: View of the longest lunar eclipse of the century at about 2:10 a.m. today over White Rock. The ‘nearly total’ lunar eclipse overnight, NASA said, was when the Moon was so close to opposite the Sun that it passed through the southern part of the shadow of the Earth for a nearly total lunar eclipse. The eclipse lasted 3 hours, 28 minutes and 23 seconds, making it the longest in centuries. Source: space.com. Photo by Nancy Ann Hibbs
