Daily Postcard: Painted Bunting Bird Spotted Near UNM

Daily Postcard: A painted bunting was spotted lingering on a tree branch outside the window of former Hilltopper Jennifer R. Bartlit recently in Albuquerque near UNM. The painted bunting is a small brightly-colored member of the cardinal family. The males have blue, green, red and yellow plumage and are considered by many to be North America’s most beautiful bird.
