Daily Postcard: Community Independence Day Parade

Daily Postcard: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announces its annual White Rock Community Independence Day Parade and Carnival at 336 Grand Canyon Dr. The event begins at 10 a.m. with a flag raising ceremony. Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will lead the parade carrying the colors follow by children of all ages. Los Alamos Police and Fire Departments willl escort the parade. The parade route is less than a half mile and will begin and end at the Church parking lot. A carnival will follow the parade on the shady back lawn of the church. All games, prizes, refreshments, and visiting are free. There will be balloons, snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, and ice water for everyone. The carnival will end shortly after noon. Photo by Carol A. Clark/ladailypost.com
