Daily Postcard: The view of Comet NEOWISE viewed at 4:30 a.m. Friday from the back deck of a residence in Quemazon. The beautiful comet is visible to the naked eye around 4:30 a.m. in Los Alamos for the next few days. In another week or so, it should be visible in the evening, if the brightness does not dim too much during that time. It was definitely visible with naked eye in the NE and through binoculars. The bright object to the right in the middle of Taurus Hyades (just above Aldebaran) is Venus. The bright star above at the top of the wide photo and slightly to the right of the comet is Capella. The entire circle of Auriga is visible above and to the right slightly of the comet. Photo by Rick Wallace
